How Are You?

This is the de-installation of "How Are You," a public installation on the Oxnard College campus created by Rachel's beginning, intermediate and advanced students. Students were asked to write down the answer to the usually superficial question "How are you" on a small ceramic tablet. The responses ranged from the glib to the very honest. These tablets were then hung from several trees in a central common area. The project successfully broke down barriers as students and faculty from different disciplines and departments participated. After the de-installation the tablets were collected in a large ceramic jar for presentation to Oxnard College for posterity.
