This was a trip that we will never forget - definitely a highlight of the school year. No electricity, no running water, no Game Boys, dinner by candlelight... this was as close to an accurate depiction of life in 1856 as one is likely to find. Thank you to Mrs. Ehrlich and the other 4th grade teachers for organizing this amazing experience for our kids, aka Recruits.
