Toy Photography // Alien vs Stormtroopers

Death's Doorstep

Luckless Stormtroopers are often the equivalent of the Red Shirts in the original Star Trek series...nameless and never catching a break, almost always ending up dead haha!

My toy photography is created using practical effects. Flying dirt and debris, smoke, fire, splashing liquids... all real, and all photographed real time in the scene.

Image created with the help of my valued partners Lowepro Bags, SOG Knives and Spider Holster.

E.T. Phone Hooooome....

I love the nostalgia and emotion this image makes me feel.  That is what toy photography is for me... an opportunity to create images that convey emotion and feeling, and as a result hopefully makes the viewer feel these exact same things.  Thanks for the warm-fuzzy, E.T.!

Another day, another quarter portion.

Took advantage of a brush fire colored sunset to create this photo.  The color of the sunset was pretty much what you see here... the only beautiful thing that came out of the fire.

Toy Photography // IAmElemental Toys

Excited to share my first photo in a series for IAmElemental Toys (IAE).  These are among the first action figures designed and created for girls. As their website says, "If you give a girl a different toy she will tell a different story." Having a daughter myself, I really respect what IAE is doing.  I just wish IAE was around when my daughter was younger.  I know my daughter would have played with these over Polly Pockets or My Little Pony any day!  If you have a young daughter, or even son, you should check these out.  The series is based on the Periodic Table, but instead of chemical elements, the figures are based on the various elements of Courage. Pretty damn cool! Check them out at www.iamelemental.com!
