Los Angeles Egyptian Wedding

Such an amazing day, and an even more amazing wedding.  This traditional Egyptian wedding day began with the bride and groom getting ready at the beautiful Beverly Hills Plaza Hotel.  The ceremony took place across town at the beautiful St. Sophia Cathedral in downtown Los Angeles, and the reception followed at the Vatican Banquet Hall.  Egyptian celebrations are full of energy and emotion... I loved it!

It was a perfect day... a joyful celebration and a new cultural experience for me.  The day was made even more enjoyable shooting with friend and fellow photographer, Scott Reynolds.   Congrats to the newlyweds!!

October 22, 2012 - So, in keeping with the Halloween theme, here's a huge pumpkin spider that stopped us in our tracks as we walked to school this morning. We literally walked right under it. This cell phone photo doesn't do justice to how large it really was. Definitely larger than the largest black widow I've ever seen.
