Pasadena Engagement Session // Tran & Andrew

For Tran and Andrew's engagement session we hit the gritty streets of Old Town Pasadena.  Okay, maybe not quite gritty... maybe more like Tran and Andrew themselves - fashionable and fun!  A great recipe for an amazing afternoon might go something like this: add two parts coffee, throw in a dash of street art, stir in a pinch of grand, historic architecture, and then, finally, add in a beautiful, fun couple and blend!

Thank you, Tran and Andrew!  I had an amazing time with you!

Old Town Pasadena Engagement Session

A sneak peek from Tran and Andrew's FUN engagement session yesterday in Old Town Pasadena.  Strolling along Colorado Blvd, sipping coffee at Intelligentsia, taking in some cool street art... it was a great afternoon!  Can't wait for Tran and Andrew's Skirball Center wedding in April!

Los Angeles Headshots // Saravut Frank Sopapunta

I had a fantastic headshot session in Los Angeles this morning with filmmaker, Saravut Frank Sopapunta.  Frank is incredibly focused on creating a body of amazing work in this industry - I'm excited to follow his career as it continues to grow.

I was excited by the dynamic urban settings and graffiti street art this Los Angeles neighborhood offered.  As a Los Angeles headshot photographer, I prefer photographing my clients outdoors on location.   I'm always looking for new places to shoot... places that fit a particular look or mood I'm trying to convey.

Los Angeles MOCA Street Art

Some photos from a recent visit to MOCA's Art in the Streets exhibit.  It was a great day, one that began with us having an amazing ramen lunch in neighboring Little Tokyo.  Our little ramen dive is a must-stop for us anytime we're in the area.  Once inside MOCA it was sensory overload as we walked through the cavernous display of street art.   We've been to quite a few shows at MOCA and this by far appears to be their most successful in terms of attendance.  The place was packed with people of all ages.  Street art clearly appeals to a huge, varied group of people.  Some of the installations were amazing re-creations of actual street scenes.  Street art... literally!  The third photo is a capture of Angie jumping at the entrance to a small, makeshift theater.

Nothing like a day of art to inspire and motivate!
