Kay & Trey Wedding at the University Club

It was so amazing to be able to end the week on a high note... that note being Kay & Trey's beautiful wedding at the historic University Club in Pasadena.  I LOVED shooting at this venue... so many opportunities to create beautiful images.  Well, honestly, with a couple as beautiful as Kay & Trey I could have created stunning images in the parking lot of Albertsons!

The month of March had been one of the wettest on record.  So the question of the day was, would it rain? Normally this is of little consequence to most people but this day was Kay and Trey's wedding.  Kay planned an intimate courtyard ceremony so the question loomed large.   Should she risk it or should she play it safe and move the ceremony indoors?  You'll see what she decided as you look at the photos.

Thank you , Kay & Trey, for letting Rachel and I be a part of your amazing day.

Los Angeles Children Photographer - Violin Practice

It's been a while since I posted a photo of Angie playing the violin.  I love the mood and atmosphere captured in this photo.  I remember when Angie first started playing the violin.  Just like most beginning violin players her playing sounded like fingernails to chalkboard.  But that was a few years ago.  Now I look forward to her daily practice.  Fingernails to chalkboard has evolved into decidedly beautiful music and I find myself humming her songs throughout the day.

Los Angeles Family Photographer - The Fine Art Coffee Table Book

This is a stunning fine art coffee table book I created from Jeff and Leah's recent family portrait session.  Flipping through the pages brings me back to that chilly yet magical morning spent with them and their adorable kids.  It's an 8"x8" image-wrapped hard cover book with lay-flat pages. The pages have a beautiful laminate finish that protects the pages and gives the book a rich, contemporary feel.  It is one of several fine art coffee table books in a variety of sizes available through Mitchel Wu Photography.  I personally design each book myself to tell the clients' story.

A fine art coffee table book is an investment in your memories.  It's an opportunity to relive a fleeting moment in time... when the babies were still babies and the kids were still kids.
